Beatrice Park & Yarrabin
A heritage website for two Bowral garden estates, designed and built from the ground up.
Overview
Beatrice Park and Yarrabin are two heritage garden estates in Bowral, in the NSW Southern Highlands, with four places to stay between them. Hosts Justin and John were relying on Airbnb listings to do all the work. We designed and built a website from scratch that feels like the estates themselves: quiet, green, and a little old-world.
Goal
Give each of the four houses a proper page of its own, tell the story of the gardens, and turn browsers into direct enquiries, while laying the groundwork for booking directly on the site instead of through Airbnb.
Process
The visual identity came from the estates' own engraved crest. We pulled an olive, teal and gold palette from it and paired EB Garamond headings with Karla for body text, so the site reads like a heritage guesthouse rather than a booking platform. Big full-bleed photography does most of the talking, with the copy kept short and warm.
Technical approach
The site is a fast static build: a home page for both estates, a page for each of the four houses, a local guide to Bowral and the Southern Highlands, and an enquiry form that goes straight to the hosts' inbox. Real guest reviews from Airbnb are woven through as social proof. It is fully responsive and hosted on Netlify, with direct booking planned as the next phase.

Planning
We mapped the four houses, what makes each one different, and the questions guests ask before they book, then shaped the site around getting those answered fast.
Design
We built the look from the estates' engraved crest: an olive, teal and gold palette, classic serif headings, and room for the photography to breathe.
Development
A fast, fully responsive static site with house pages, a local guide, real guest reviews and an enquiry form wired straight to the hosts.
Launch
We tested across phones and desktops, connected the domain, launched on Netlify, and set the site up so direct booking can plug in next.
The best heritage sites get out of the way. Our job was to let the gardens and houses carry the page, and make the next step, getting in touch, feel as easy as walking through the front gate.
